This Training is Like Getting an MBA in Public Speaking and Communication

Our education system does not teach people how to effectively communicate both inside the workplace, and out. In fact, schools are more focused on your ability to use technology than they are in creating leaders who can communicate at the highest levels of the public and private sector.

We are left with generations of people who have little to no experience communicating face to face in a meaningful way. This is going to create a leadership bottleneck in the coming decades as many young adults and digital nomads have rendered face to face communication useless.

Public speaking courses have not been institutionalized, so it's not a skill set that people naturally develop unless they go out of their way to learn it. This program is like getting a masters degree in public speaking. There is no other training that teaches how to deliver a narrative and effectively communicate

Speaking 180 is Split Into 4 Distinct Phases

In this training, we help you transform your communication skills over a year through four distinct phases.

You will be guided through each phase so that you can develop your communication tool belt in a step by step process.

1

Phase 1: The Foundation

Before we get into building a speech, we have to work on the building blocks of great communication. Leveraging a tool belt communication tactics will allow you to thrive in any public speaking environment. This phase is split into 4 sections.

How to Get the Most Out of This Program: Understanding how to learn communication effectively is imperative for executing it in different areas of your life. We can only lay a foundation by creating an internal environment where cultivating good communication practices is possible.

Effective Psychological Constructs: By understanding the proper psychological frameworks for communication, anyone can communicate in any situation. Bad communication is simply a byproduct of poor mental and emotional states. The best communicators are experts at reframing situations in their minds and the audiences.

Critiquing Yourself and Others: Learning how to critique is the number one way to overcome obstacles when public speaking. Most of the time, people don't even know what they're doing things ineffectively. Learning how to keep an eye out for fatal mistakes is the quickest way to improve your skillset.

Different Public Speaking Formats: Public speaking comes in many forms. Most people don't realize that they're in environments where public speaking skills are applicable on a consistent basis. Depending on the context, certain capabilities should be deployed.

2

Phase 2: The First Steps

Preparation and the first few minutes of a presentation is where all the heavy lifting gets done. Effective communication is about understanding how humans think and absorb information. This phase is split into 4 sections.

Preparation: The prep work is where the experts shine. Knowing how to get yourself ready for a speech is half the battle. The goal is to show up ready to go!

Warming Up: In the minutes before the speech, you want to have an effective routine. Going through certain exercises can help put you in a state of confidence and certainty that everything will go according to plan.

Beginning and Introductions: The first 90-120 seconds is the most important part of a speech. How you begin and deliver your intro will determine how people will participate over the next 60 minutes.

Creating a Framework: Delivering a framework to your audience is the best way to engrain a concept into their brains. Knowing how to develop the framework is what will create a straightforward process for your speech.

3

Phase 3: Energy Management

All public speaking is a form of energy management. You are the maestro, the conductor, and the facilitator of the experience. It's your job to channel the energy and move it around the room appropriately. This phase is split into 4 sections.

Effective Breakout Activities: Speakers who don't actively engage the audience are missing out on the opportunity to create an energetic feedback loop. The best speakers have exercises they do with their audience to get them thinking in different ways.

Developing Stories (and Mini-Stories): Knowing how to structure and deliver a narrative is the foundation of human communication. By properly developing stories, speakers are able to consciously create emotional states and learning opportunities.

Navigating Questions and Answers (Q&A): A Q&A session is one of the most effective ways to engage an audience. Properly executing these dialogues allows for speakers to dive in deep, and the audience to gain clarity.

Executing a Proper Ending Sequence: Ending a speech effectively is both an art and a science. This is your opportunity to put your audience into action. A speaker who doesn't propel people to the next step is wasting everyone's time.

4

Phase 4: The Polish

Once we have executed on the proper frameworks for speech development, all we have to do is polish up our communication skills. A little polish is the difference between a good speaker and a GREAT speaker. This phase is split into 4 sections.

Working the Room: Before, during, and after a speech, it's your responsibility to be working the room. This is what will have people ranting and raving about your capabilities. The performance starts the second you enter the room.

Tips and Tricks: These are the secrets I tell my clients that stay behind closed doors. Every speaker has a toolbelt of tips and tricks. This module is about helping you find out what tricks are going to work best for you.

Never Evers: There are certain things that speakers should NEVER do on stage. This is the quickest way to look like an amateur speaker. If we want to position ourselves as effective communicators, we have to stay away from bad habits on stage.

Voice and Tonality: Your ability to project your voice and leverage your tonality is the cornerstone of your communication tool belt. Knowing how to properly leverage your voice is the best way to sharpen your skillset once we have the proper structure.

About Me

16707258_590843197791652_9034993041561716703_o

My name is Jesse and I'm an entrepreneur, investor, author and speaker coach. I have spoken to and worked with tens of thousands of people on my path to becoming a better communicator.

You see, for me, it wasn't so easy. I grew up with a stutter, and spent most of my life stammering through sentences and stories. I was one of the worst communicators on the planet.

I dedicated my life to learning how to become a better communicator. I did speach therapy and stage acting for more than a decade to learn how to properly communicate.

In college, I studied entrepreneurship. I started few companies and campus organizations and quickly found myself presenting to groups of people without a heavy stutter. I had finally found my flow state after 2 decades.

Toward the end of my college career, I did a TEDx Talk that completely changed the trajectory of my career.

I went on to become the youngest speaker ever for Tony Robbins. I traveled the nation giving corporate trainings to both small companies and fortune 500's. Doing multiple speeches every day was a bootcamp in how to make public speaking a career and a work of art.

After working with Tony, I became the Chief of Staff at Intersection Capital and Pitch Anything. I was creating pitch decks and sales narratives, and teaching entrepreneurs how to deliver them to their target audience. I had to teach others how to properly sequence their stories, and deliver a dynamic presentation that moves people into action.

These experiences have given me a toolbelt of knowledge upon which I have built this training program.
